Abstract Developing a technology that increases the service life of valve seats in CNG/LNG-powered vehicles requires appropriate selection material and its application technology. Commercially used seat materials show accelerated wear under operating conditions, especially natural gas vehicle engines. The authors developed new technological concept to protect vehicles. Two were research: Stellite 6 alloy Fe $$_{3}$$ 3 Al intermetal.
